Everything you need to know about Bold Plates.
Turn off power at the breaker. Remove your existing cover plate (keep screws as backup). Align the Bold Plate over the electrical box. Secure with included screws. Restore power. Takes about 2 minutes.
High-quality, durable plastic with a smooth matte finish. Plate thickness is 2.5mm face, 7mm total depth. Each plate weighs approximately 20g. Lightweight and built to last.
Bold Plates fit any standard US single-gang electrical box. That covers most residential outlets and toggle light switches. If your existing cover has one opening and two mounting screws, it will fit.
Production takes 3-5 business days, then ships free via USPS Ground Advantage (2-5 business days transit).
Bold Plates are decorative cover plates only. They are not UL listed. For indoor, dry-location use only. Not intended for use near heat sources or in wet locations (kitchens, bathrooms near water). Check local building codes before installation.
Returns and exchanges are handled through Etsy. If your plate arrives damaged or does not fit, message us through the Etsy shop and we will make it right.
